Fountain Square, Indianapolis Polaroid

Taken with my Polaroid One Step Land camera, seen in this post.

This past weekend I went on a little antiquing adventure with my friend Jackie and we visited a few shops around downtown. I’ve lived around Indianapolis my entire life but I’ve never really explored the shops close to the heart of the city like Midland Antique Mall. (Definitely recommend this place, so much cool stuff.) When it comes to the small towns surrounding Indianapolis, I’ve been to ALL of those antique stores– I love prices of the small town shops… and I love that in the small towns no one else is really searching for what I search for and I can actually find Polaroid cameras, vintage dresses, old photos, and retro silk scarves. 😉

To me, Fountain Square had the small-town-shop feel with higher prices. (But seriously, after a semester visiting flea markets in New York, Indiana prices OK. :))

And by the way, it’s really kind of incredible to be around Indianapolis right now with all the Super Bowl stuff going on. I know Indianapolis is viewed by outsiders as a boring land of corn, but I’ve never been in a place this excited about one thing, about one event. It’s so infectious. (People, (girls) are seriously freaking out about the fact that Ryan Gosling has been spotted around Indy. My Facebook and Twitter are stuffed full of statuses about him. Ha. :))

I’m really not that into football or anything, but everything that is happening here is just so cool. 🙂

Wow, it looks like you had a grand ol' time! You're photos of everything around town are amazing. I need to spend some time visiting some shops around the Phoenix area myself. You may have inspired a weekend adventure for me! Enjoy the Superbowl energy!

I wasn't really into vintage when I was in college so I missed out on Indiana antique malls! I regret that! Great photos!
