Instax Post: “Lack of Passion is Fatal”

May 15, 2014
Los Angeles Instax

I took this photo just over a year ago during my first trip out to California for a dog adoption event in LA.

Recently I bought a scanner so that I can FINALLY start scanning some of the analogue photos that I’ve been taking over the past year and a half living in NYC. While I was scanning a few photos, this one stuck out a bit.

I look back on this year and it’s kind of crazy how things have changed, how far everything has come. It’s also strange to see how much some of my hobbies have changed. While you’re living life you never feel like things are changing, but when you look back you realize what’s completely different. Two years ago I used to come home after work every night and work on this blog. Then blogging became my actual job and I started to spend a lot more time exploring New York and working on longer, more involved craft projects. While sometimes I get these alarmed thoughts of, “Why don’t you write on your blog more! Why aren’t you taking as many Polaroids as you used to?!” I’ve got to remember that it’s best to pursue the things you’re most excited about.

And by the way, this photo was taken with the Fuji Instax Wide. 🙂

Love it! Not only for the instax photo (which is great and I still take a lot of these, not as many as before though…) but I also agree how everything is constantly changing and while we're inside the change it's hard to even notice it. Good luck with all of your future changes! It's all for the best.
