How to Make a Flower Bracelet-- That Doubles as a Headband!

Flower Bracelet Headband
It's no secret around this little blog that I am a fan of the floral fashion. From a t-shirt flower dress, to a flower brooch, to a Fendi-inspired flower dress, I think it's safe to say I kind of dig them. (Get it? ;))

About a week ago my dear friend and co-worker, Molly, had a birthday, and I needed to figure out just the gift to make her. So I decided to go with a little floral fashion.

How to Make the Flower Bracelet/Headband:

Flower Bracelet Headband
To make the bracelet, you need some fabric, beads for the flower centers, and some ribbon. Cut your fabric into little squares, about the size of the flowers you want, and cut flower shapes from those little squares. For each flower on the headband/bracelet, I had 2 layers of flowers. So if you want 5 flowers on the accessory, cut out 10 flower shapes.

Take your flower shapes and stitch them with the beads to your ribbon. I started with one flower directly in the middle of my ribbon and then I worked out from the center flower.

Now this step isn't 100% necessary, but I don't really like my flowers to fray that much. I sealed my fabric with the Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer and they haven't frayed a bit. You can also use any clear spray paint. :)

And PS:

It doubles as a headband! I can't decide which way I like it best. :)
