DIY Flower Halo

halo
One of my favorite things about having curly hair is the fact that I can wear many different things in my hair and it just looks like stuff is kind of growing there. Feathers, flower headbands, anything. Although curly hair can be a bit difficult to style sometimes, I love that I can wear funky things like flower halos and it doesn't look too outrageous. (Of course some might think the flower halo is a tad ridiculous, but I was a girl who braided Christmas tinsel and streamers into my hair on occasion in high school. Flower halos are nothing compared to that.) ;)

How to Make a Flower Halo

To Make a Flower Halo, You Need:

-Wire
-Raffia or ribbon to wrap the wire
-Faux flowers
-Hot glue gun

How to Make a Flower Halo Step 1: Take your wire and your raffia and start wrapping. I used the glue gun to glue as I went-- it keeps everything in place and makes the wire easier to wrap.
How to Make a Flower Halo Step 2: As you're wrapping the wire, take some of the flowers and wrap them into the halo as well with a little dot of glue.
How to Make a Flower Halo Step 3: Instead of making the halo into a one-size circle, I didn't connect the ends so that I could adjust the halo later.
How to Make a Flower Halo Step 4: For the bigger flowers, I just stitched them straight to the halo because it gave me more control as to how the flowers would sit.
