County Fair

Polaroid Carousel
This week was the county fair in my town. Our fair is one of those old fairs where everyone, and I mean everyone, comes out to eat and look around. I love the fair. I love seeing all of the animals and the strange projects, the people you forgot about, the moldy food exhibits, and the small town art.

Ferris Wheel
I love looking at the rides but I haven't ridden one since I was 15.

I love the animals too-- I showed sheep in 4-H for 10 years.

Sparrow Broach

DIY Miu Miu Sparrow Broach
I've got birds on my brain this summer. I saw the Miu Miu sparrow broach on the Glamouri and thought it was really neat to add to bags, belts, anything. :)

I used old snakeskin scraps that my mom had.

Cameras: Polaroid 800 and 100a

I have the coolest uncle Bill ever-- he gave me a pogo stick, dresses like the Crocodile Hunter, takes me to Finland (with my Aunt Paivi:)), makes my and this summer gave me 7 cameras!
My cameras
(LtoR, Top: Polaroid 110a, Polaroid 800, Polaroid SX-70
Row 2: Polaroid Spirit, Keystone 16mm movie camera, Holga 120n, Yashica MG-1, Kombi Camera
Row 3: Minolta X-370, Pentax K-1000, Diana Lens for Nikon, Canon Pellix)

Polaroid 110a and 800
Beauties. Unfortunately there has been no film for these cameras since 1991, but there are camera hacks that I could do to get some pictures out of 'em. :) I found some great directions here and I am in a photography class this fall and I think I'll try my hand at "Film Alternative #1" with the darkroom.

Polaroid 110a and 800
These cameras were 2 of Polaroid's instant rollfilm cameras.

I think old cameras like this are so interesting to look at-- it doesn't matter if I can get 100 pictures out of them or not, I think they are neat decorations. I really hope I can get them to work though-- I love the photos that other people have taken with both.
