"...on the impulse of winter midnight street / light smalltown rain"

-- Allen Ginsberg

So this is one DIY version of an Anthropologie sweater.I love the store-- their attention to details and color is right on for me but I cant afford/justify spending 80$ on a cardigan.

I always look through the site and find myself thinking, "I could totally do that!" but I just never get around to buying a base cardigan, shirt, or dress. Think of all the cheap sweaters at Forever 21 or H&M that you can decorate!

Here is a link to my tutorial on how to make this sweater.

So I really, really love taking pictures on the roof of my building. I can see the entire NYC skyline... and the Hudson... and NJ. New Jersey is actually behind me in all these pictures.

This is Grant's tomb-- I see this out of my HUGE bedroom window. I keep thinking about that joke about who's buried in Grant's tomb...

Another view-- in the upper left corner past that building is the middle of Harlem. I do my grocery shopping on the edge of Harlem.

Riverside Church + Grant's Tomb. These make up my entire bedroom window view. I could not have gotten luckier in the bedroom window view category-- I must have one of the best views in the entire city. No joke.

So I run by Riverside Church everyday... and I just realized it is the tallest church in the US, funded in part by Rockefeller... and Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, and Fidel Castro have spoken there. WOW.

I am SO lucky.

  1. This is awesome! I love your flowers on the cardigan so much better than the other expensive features there. You seriously ROCK!!

  2. Great Cardigan! I like it better than the three you showed from Anthro.

But aside from that...your view is totally amazing! I'm jealous!
Hope you had a great weekend!

  3. I found your blog from Cut Out + Keep. I love your sweater & your flower dress & skirt. Your stuff is awesome. You're so lucky that you live in NY & have the view.

  4. is the elite jolt more expensive than the original one?

Well, hey there! Thanks for reading! ;)
